The mention of the Scottish Highlands evokes, quite rightly, a host of evocative images of mountains and lochs, pure sands and purple heather. Images in fact that are pretty much captured in the regions golf courses too!
The Highlands is the largest region in Scotland, covering nearly 10,000 sq miles and as well as being home to stunning scenery and landmarks – think Loch Ness, Ben Nevis, Culloden, castles, whisky distilleries – it is home to some of finest golf courses in the country from championship links to delightful hidden nine holes.
You’ll play on courses as good as any in Scotland including Tain, Brora, Golspie, Fortrose & Rosemarkie plus the Championship courses of Royal Dornoch and Castle Stuart and we feature these in a couple of our proposed golf packages below.
Fir the non golfer, there is an abundance of things to do in the Highlands regardless where you are staying – Inverness is a dynamic small city destination in itself or you can select from smaller towns such as Brora, Golspie or Dornoch as your base. All share the history and heritage of the Scottish Highlands and ensure that it provides a truly unique golfing experience whether for a few days or an extended stay.
Highland golf awaits…
