Aberdeen is Scotland’s third-largest city, renowned global energy hub, home to a record number of whisky distilleries and inventor of the deep-fried Mars bar!

Often referred to as the “Granite City” this compact City with a vista of wide-open garden spaces and a plethora of cultural heritage provides a great base for a trip exploring the Aberdeenshire region. The Gordon Highlanders Museum & Maritime Museum provide a historical narrative to the granite city while the stunning golden beaches and dunes decorate the 165 miles of wonderful coastline where you will find two of the top 10 oldest courses in the world. Aberdeenshire is also home to the start of both the castle and whisky trails which connect the region to the Banff Coast and Speyside.

All of these wonderful courses can be reached within an hour from the City of Aberdeen. The famous Balmoral Castle situated in stunning Royal Deeside is also within touching distance of Aberdeen.
