Cruden Bay is a traditional Scottish links, originally designed by Tom Morris and Archie Simpson, about two hours’ drive from St Andrews. It began as a Great North of Scotland Railway course, with a grand hotel overlooking the links known as “The Palace in the Sand”.
The Championship Course is not long, but it is full of intricacies, with views within and above the dunes that will stay with you. The St Olaf course sits within it.
The Old Clubhouse by the first tee opened as a museum at the end of 2021, with artefacts and photographs from bygone days.
