The Craigtoun Course, St Andrews

The Craigtoun is St Andrews’ only championship heathland course, set on the historic Mount Melville estate with sweeping views over the town and the coast. Five-time Open Champion Peter Thomson designed it, and architect Tim Liddy enhanced it in 2006.

  • Established: 1995
  • Holes: 18
  • Length: 6,868 yards
  • Par: 71

It is the longest course in the group and away from the links, so it brings variety to a week of seaside golf. It has also hosted major amateur championships.
